The female sweat drop ear is best used for plumbing projects that require a transition from copper pipe to a female thread, like shower heads, tub spouts, and supply stub outs. The drop ear is composed of a solder cup, FNPT threads, and two mounting ears for the fitting to be secured to a wall using screws.
